On Thursday 12 March Year 10 and 11 Applied Art students were visited by ‘Working Artist’ Heather Gani as part of their Applied Art coursework. She is an Artist who uses her art skills in a number of ways and over the years has successfully produced work on commission to a number of organisations –including Ted Baker.

 

 

 

On Monday 17 November 2008, our Year 10 Art class visited The National Portrait Gallery in central London. The purpose of the trip was for us to see other artists work and to find other pieces of work that we could use for our project ‘Self Identity’ and also to be inspired by the work produced by other artists.

Ikra Javaid, Year 8, won a competition in August 2008 for designing a picnic bench. She was entered into the competition in July by The Head of Art, Ms Mansell.

Ms Mansell, Head of Art, has submitted many pupils' entries for the Children's Society competition for National Reading Week September 2008. The competition required entrants to design a quilt. Here are a few of the entries.
